We invite you to attend the 26th Annual Women Coming Together Luncheon. Since 1994, Women Coming Together has organized an annual luncheon to provide an opportunity for women of different racial/ethnic groups, ages, faiths, sexual orientations, and educational and employment experiences to identify and share their community concerns.

Year 3 of our International Women’s Day Fundraiser is quickly approaching! What began in 2017 as a small project for a beer conceptualized, brewed and promoted by the women of Wolf’s Ridge Brewing [WRB], has now become one of our largest fundraising efforts and favorite events of the year.

We couldn’t think of a better day to get the Columbus community together to celebrate women of color. In 2020, we are determined to Take Up Space. This International Women’s Day, attendees can look forward to a day full of motivating words from community leaders, thought leadership on how to be a good ally, explore the work of local artists, and more.

Facing death threats, a Honduran family of four was forced to flee their home seeking shelter in the United States. Just North UCC has taken in this family. Join us for an evening interfaith community dinner to meet the family and to hear the story of their 90-day perilous journey to find asylum in our country. They are still seeking it! Cantor Bat-Ami Moses of Temple Israel will bless us with her angelic voice in celebration of freedom! Vegetarian options will be provided. All are welcome!

Vicki Deisner, organizer for the new organization Ohio Advocates for Animals, will share about animal rights and how to promote responsible pet ownership.

There are threats to the American democratic process, Ohio voters must be aware of the problems with our computerized voting systems and be prepared to take action and ensure that their votes are properly cast and counted.

Join election security experts, advocates, and activists, including Columbus Free Press Editor-in-Chief Bob Fitrakis and featured speaker Wade Rathke, Chief Organizer of ACORN International, to learn how to ensure that your vote is counted.

Empty your closets of unwanted items that are gently, barely or never used (clothes, dressy scarves, outerwear, shoes, costume jewelry, sunglasses and purses) and bring them to St. John’s Church on March 6 between 4:30-8pm to get your “golden ticket” that allows you to take unlimited items at the swap the next day.
