Local Is Our Future: Steps to an Economics of Happiness

Sunday, March 8, 3:30-5pm, Portia’s Cafe, 4428 Indianola Ave.

Simply Living Book Club’s winter selection is all about the benefits of localizing our economies and revitalizing our communities.

The Simply Living Book Club’s Winter selection is a brand-new book by Helena Norberg-Hodge, the woman who produced the The Economics of Happiness video that dramatically contrasted the problems with the global economic status quo and the benefits of moving to a more localized economy.

The new book is being released along with a TED Talk that explains the need for bold, systemic changes that offer genuine hope for a sustainable future. The date for the initial discussion is Sunday, March 8, 3:30-5pm, at Portia’s Cafe in Clintonville. Portia has graciously agreed to leave another selection of vegan treats to enjoy from 5pm to 6 pm. Donations are appreciated.

Simply Living is offering this $12.95 book for $10.00.
