The Ohio Student Association (OSA) and the University District Freedom School (UDFS) will lead a march of Ohio students, parents, and allies from the Ohio Statehouse to the Ohio Department of Education, 25 S. Front St., where they will share a list of demands regarding the abolition of zero-tolerance and school push-out policies. Together, these groups are driving efforts to create a fundamental shift in the relationship between our students and public schools’ disciplinary procedures.

Join Sierra Club, Ohio Citizen Action, Public Citizen, the Ohio Organizing Collaborative and others as we take a stand against “dirty energy bailouts” in Ohio at the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO), 180 E. Broad St.

Wendy’s annual shareholder meeting will be on Monday, June 1 at their international headquarters in Dublin, Ohio!

Join the Coalition of Immokalee Workers, Lupe Gonzalo, and other members of the Alliance for Fair Food, along with Ohio students, faith leaders, labor justice organizers, food justice allies and others as we show the Wendy’s shareholders that we will continue to fight ’til Wendy’s joins the Fair Food Program.

Parking will be available; carpools will be available if you need a ride.

Join activists around the world and take on this pillar of the Industrial Food System. The eyes of the world will be upon us once again.

10am: March across Hope Memorial (Carnegie) Bridge [in Cleveland, Ohio] [start on Progressive Field side]

11am: Rally at Market Square Park [across from West Side Market]

We will gather at the east end of Hope Memorial Bridge, across Ontario St. from Progressive Field. Signs, drums, American flags are welcome.

Our march will take us across Hope Memorial (Carnegie) Bridge from east to west. The march is approximately 1¼ miles (45 minutes).

The march will end at Market Square Park in Ohio City, just east of the Westside Market.

In the Name of Justice, a prisoner re-entry assistance and advocacy organization, wants to draw attention to the parole board’s keeping hundreds of older, rehabilitated prisoners who could be productive taxpayers if released; many of the board’s decisions are based on “serious nature of the crime,” which will never change, although the inmates can and do change.

Beginning at 11:30am at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and University Center, 30 W. Woodruff Ave., and continuing near the recently-reconstructed Wendy’s at 2020 N. High St.

Another Wendy’s will be opening on High St. near the OSU campus [at 2020 N. High St., near the intersection of Woodruff Ave. and N. High St.].

With Student/Farmworker Alliance’s recent declaration of a national boycott, let’s show Wendy’s how important we think it is that they join the Fair Food Program and support farmworker justice.

On May 1st, (May Day, International Workers’ Day), we will be celebrating the collective strength of workers and voicing the call to “Rai$e ColumbU$” by respecting the dignity of workers here in the city.

We are less than 21 days away from the U.S. Supreme Court hearing that will weighing in on the legality of marriage equality in Ohio and in the United States of America. This will be occurring on 4.28.2015. The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) and Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) is planning a “surprise” protest on the same day as the U.S. Supreme Court hearing; they plan to have thousands gather in Washington D.C. We are here locally trying to counteract their plans by organizing an Ohio statewide march. Join us and take a stand to protect freedom, equality, and justice!
