On March 19, climate activists around the world are taking to the street to demand immediate action on climate change. For too long, our leaders have delivered empty promises, while the climate crisis worsens, and communities suffer. We have no time to wait.

Sunrise Columbus is calling for concrete action now. Join us at the Ohio Statehouse on Friday, March 19, along with thousands worldwide in coordination with FridaysForFuture, to make your voice heard and demand climate justice.

A developer is trying to build several expensive homes in the South Orchards neighborhood, ranging from $250,000 to $350,000, on land where a community garden currently sits.

This event will be a peaceful protest to raise the voice to end the violence against women in Turkey and in the World at the State House.

Friday, February 12, 1-2pm, outside of U.S. Senator Rob Portman’s Columbus office, 37 W. Broad St., Ste. 300

Join us for a rally outside of U.S. Senator Portman’s Columbus office to demand that he vote to convict Donald Trump. We will be joined by a billboard truck with the message, “Conviction or Complicity? You decide your legacy.”

• The immediate termination, arrest, and indictment of Michael Jason Meade for the murder of Casey Goodson, Jr.

• Revocation of Jason Meade’s pension.

• Transparency in the investigation and release of all video and audio recordings.

On Friday, December 4, Casey Christopher Goodson Jr., a 23-year-old local man, was fatally shot by a Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy while he was walking into his own home. Casey was shot three times in the back, piercing his lungs and heart.

It is devastating to see another life lost at the hands of police.

Enough is enough. After months of demonstrations against police brutality and the disproportionate murder of Black people, it has happened again.

Join us in a peaceful protest to demand justice for Casey Goodson Jr., the beloved son, brother, cousin, friend, neighbor, and community member.

On December 7 at 3pm, the family of Julius E. Tate will gather in front of 1308 Mt. Vernon Ave. [east of the intersection with N. Champion Ave.] where an electric pole has been decorated in his honor.

It has been two years since the murder of young Julius at the hands of Columbus Police.

Due to recent shifts in our Supreme Court, the protections currently in place for marriage equality have been put into question. Our request is for state legislature to provide marriage equality protections for LGBTQ+ individuals on a state level in Ohio.

Now is our time to step up to the plate and show the unshakable perseverance of the LGBTQ+ community. Our voices matter and we will be heard. Join the movement, your voice could be the difference.
