Murderer Jason Meade has been charged with Double Murder and Reckless Homicide for the death of Casey Goodson Jr.; he will be in court again.

Bring your “Justice for Casey” and “Convict Meade” signs and make some noise!

We won’t be stopping until Meade is convicted and Franklin County accepts responsibility for his actions.

We finally have a chance to support pre-trial reform in front of the Senate Criminal Justice Committee as the sponsors introduce the substitute language for S.B. 182.

That committee is typically scheduled to begin at 3:15pm, so you can meet us there or meet us beforehand at 2:30pm over at the AFP office in the KeyBank Building, 88 E. Broad St., on the 11th floor.

Join Columbus Animal Activism in a peaceful demonstration against circus cruelty. The Aladdin Temple Shrine Circus includes “tons of family fun with clowns, aerialists, animal acts, indoor carnival rides and more.”

What animals will be included in their acts this year? We’ll know more as we get closer to the event date.

Casey Goodson and Amir Locke were two young Black men who were not only murdered but stolen of their old age and family dreams.

Casey was walking into the home of his loving family. Amir was peacefully asleep in the early morning wrapped in his blanket.

“World’s Toughest Rodeo,” originally scheduled for 9-4-2021, has been rescheduled for 1-15-2022. We’ll keep a close eye on the event status leading up to it.

Join Columbus Animal Activism in a peaceful demonstration against rodeo cruelty. We will be outside of Nationwide Arena until the rodeo begins at 7:30pm or until everyone has entered the building.

We will have extra signs, but please feel free to bring your own. Homemade signs are strongly encouraged, as they make a greater impact.

Join us in a solidarity march for Imam Mohamed Hassan Adam. This march and vigil will be to show support and to call for justice and accountability.

The march will begin at 2pm sharp at First Congregational Church, 444 E. Broad St., and will conclude at Columbus City Hall, 90 W. Broad St., where there will be speakers from the Muslim and interfaith communities.
