Legacy cities such as Cleveland, Youngstown, and Akron, (Ohio), Buffalo (New York), Leipzig (Germany), and Manchester (UK) face major challenges in the 21st-century economy, including loss of economic base, aging infrastructure, social polarization, and continued sprawl despite population stabilization.

Come join the Ohio Green Party as we lead an online session on an introduction to Green politics!

We will begin conducting political education sessions once a month to let Party members know the basic values of the Green Party and where we stand on the issues. These sessions will be held on-line and can be taken from anywhere. You do not have to be an Ohio Green Party member to attend, but new members are encouraged to take part.

On Thursday, January 21, at 7pm, we’ll be having an Education Session with Katy Shanahan of All On The Line to talk about Ohio’s 2021 legislative redistricting, a process that will change the maps both for the state legislators as well as the Congressional district makeup.

We’ll be discussing the importance of fair district maps, the process by which maps are approved, and pressure points to advocate for proper representation in our legislative bodies.
