For five decades, John Prine churned out dozens of songs that sparked laughter, empathy, and tears. And November 20, a year after his death, his legacy will be revived with a special live concert.

The Columbus Folk Music Society is sponsoring the tribute by four outstanding local musicians: Brian Szuch, Renilda Marshall, Ed Tatum, and Mike Hale. They share a special love for Prine’s Americana-style, story-telling songs about down-and-outers and just plain everyday people.

Legendary singer-songwriter Bob Dylan will grace the Palace Theatre stage on Saturday, November 6, at 8pm, for the artist’s worldwide “Rough and Rowdy Ways” Tour.

Original songs that tell stories and resonate with emotion are the trademark of Columbus’ Keith Larsen; he’ll be performing his moving creations on stage Saturday, October 30, at the latest monthly concert sponsored by the Columbus Folk Music Society.

This event is the long-awaited return of Columbus Soul and Salvage! We’ve got Sax! Percussion! Trumpet! Keys! Guitar! Bass! Those sweet vocal harmonies that make you melt inside! And, best of all, groove that you can dance to!

Come on out for a family-friendly night of music. We’ll be playing old classics and songs you love.

This will be an outdoor show at Guitar House Workshop’s new outdoor pavilion; the music will begin at 7:30pm.
