Sunday, January 12, 5:30-6:30pm, Old First Presbyterian Church, 1101 Bryden Rd.

A twenty-to-thirty-minute silent meditation will be followed by discussion and refreshments.

The benefits of meditation are innumerable. These include greater mental clarity, a reduction in stress, improved emotional balance, and increased spiritual development. Meditation benefits everyone.

Different meditation practices will be presented, throughout the year, by practitioners of those traditions.

Saturday, January 11, 10am-12noon, Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Ave.

We are looking at a wreath cleanup event on Saturday, January 11, 2025, 10am-12noon.

Volunteers are needed to help disassemble the wreaths at Green Lawn Cemetery so the evergreens can be mulched and the metal wreath frames recycled. Volunteers should wear appropriate clothing to stay warm. Work gloves will be provided.

Join the ACLU’s January “People Power Immigration/Deportation Know Your Rights Training” to hear more about the ACLU’s plan to respond to mass deportation efforts, receive a “Know Your Rights” training, and learn how you can be a part of standing up for this fight anywhere in the country.
