Thursday, January 12, 9:30-11am, Ohio Statehouse; followed by visits to Ohio legislators who are in leadership positions

Executions are scheduled to resume in Ohio on February 15, 2017. While legal challenges may further delay execution dates, Ohioans to Stop Executions [OTSE] will be gathering at the Statehouse on January 12 to show our opposition to the resumption and continued use of the death penalty in Ohio.

Columbus Coalition of Reason (Columbus CoR) will be hosting its first Happy Hour charity event fundraiser at Land Grant Brewing. Our long-term goal is to have a similar fundraiser every two months at different local breweries since they have been very supportive of our cause for the last few years.

Join us for a candlelight vigil outside the Ohio Statehouse to support Republican electors voting their conscience for a real President.

The Founding Fathers designed the Electoral College to stop an unfit man with proven foreign influences from taking office. Now is the time for Americans to put our differences aside and unite in our shared goal of stopping Donald Trump.

We will have a live jazz band and speakers such as newly-elected Franklin County Commissioner Mr. Kevin Boyce and newly-elected State Representative Bernadine Kent.

This annual New Year’s Eve event, sponsored by the Shalem Center, will be preceded by an Aramaic Lord’s Prayer cycle [beginning at 5pm] and a potluck meal [beginning at 6:15pm].
