In honor of Women’s History Month, the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board is hosting a series of free, 45-minute presentations most Tuesdays in March at noon in the Atrium in collaboration with different groups. Each session will include up to 15 minutes for a question-and-answer period with the speaker or performer.

This event is free and open to the public. For groups, please call Ariana Glaser at 614-728-3726 to schedule.

Join us! Unitarian Universalists for Justice in the Middle East invites you to hear personal journeys from Palestinian and Jewish members of Jewish Voice for Peace Central Ohio on their fight for Palestinian liberation.

Sunday, March 16, 5:30-6:30pm, Old First Presbyterian Church, 1101 Bryden Rd.

A twenty-to-thirty-minute silent meditation will be followed by discussion and refreshments.

The benefits of meditation are innumerable. These include greater mental clarity, a reduction in stress, improved emotional balance, and increased spiritual development. Meditation benefits everyone.

Different meditation practices will be presented, throughout the year, by practitioners of those traditions.

Saturday, March 15, 4pm, this on-line event requires advance registration

Join Veterans for Peace on Saturday, March 15 for a special event marking the anniversary of the disastrous U.S. invasion of Iraq.

Veterans for Peace will present a virtual screening of “What I Want You To Know,” an award-winning documentary produced by two veterans who deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. The event is co-sponsored by Military Families Speak Out and Servicemembers for Ceasefire.

This film screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring the following:

Learn about end-of-life care planning and why it’s especially important for the LGBTQ+ community.

Hear from a death doula, a healthcare professional, and a lawyer about living wills, healthcare power of attorney, hospital visitation, and other documents.

If you already have your documents in order, we’ll also have notaries on site.
