Learn how experienced gardeners anticipate seasonal change and simplify their gardening tasks. We’ll discuss how to make good plant choices based on your needs (low-maintenance, edible garden, kid’s play area, etc.). Free.

A gathering in support of EDITH ESPINAL, immigrant justice organizer and mother of three living in sanctuary at the Columbus Mennonite Church (since Oct. 2017) to resist the targeting of members of our communities for mass detention and deportation. Speakers Wriply Bennet, Ruben Herrera, Dkeama Alexis, Jian Neo Chen. Please bring some food and energy to share. Light food and drinks provided.

Thursday, June 7, 7-8:30pm, Compassionate Communication Center of Ohio [inside of Maynard Ave. United Methodist Church], 2350 Indianola Ave.

Join us for an engaging and fun introduction to Compassionate-Nonviolent Communication (NVC), the Language of the Heart, led by Susanna Warren.

People of all experience levels, ranging from beginners to experienced practitioners, are welcome to this gathering. We will have a short explanation, a demonstration, and then we will give everyone a chance to practice giving and/or receiving empathy.

The African-American Cultural Festival, produced by the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department with support from the Department of Neighborhoods, celebrates freedom and equal rights through opportunities to experience the rich history of the African-American culture.

This event will showcase local talent while honoring history and community through live music, spoken word and dance performances in Columbus’ historic King-Lincoln District.

The Columbus Neon Rainbow Run aims to raise funds for Central Ohio 501(c)(3) organizations that provide lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and otherwise questioning youth with life-saving resources.

The Columbus Neon Rainbow Run does not represent Kaleidoscope Youth Center, Inc. [KYC]; KYC is strictly the beneficiary of our work. If you have any questions about KYC’s work, you may find information at www.kycohio.org.

Join us for the CAIR-Columbus 22nd annual Sharing Ramadan Interfaith Iftar. Our interfaith guests will share the experience of Ramadan and fast-breaking with their Muslim neighbors, co-workers, and friends.

$10/person, interfaith guests are free. Babysitting available on site.
