Citizens work to create the “Columbus Community Bill of Rights” to ensure pure water, clean air, safe soil, and local control over fracking and frack waste.

As Mother’s Day approaches, join us for an intersectional, sacred, and movement-building conversation where three women will come together to share their stories as mothers.

• A Mexican immigrant mother who has been in sanctuary for seven months and is fighting to be at home with her family.

• An African-American mother whose son was killed by the Columbus Police Department.

We will have music from three bands [Green 13, Karma 10, and One Notch Down], food and drink specials, raffles, drawings, a silent auction, and more.

100% of the proceeds will benefit The Open Shelter, an advocacy center and day services shelter that assists the most vulnerable in our community: the homeless and marginally housed.

An annual gathering and celebration of the rich diversity throughout our community. Free. Community organizations are encouraged to be present. Tables are available - at no cost. All are welcome to have a presence - but space is limited and tables are filling quickly.

B.R.E.A.D. (Building Responsibility, Equality and Dignity) brings a diverse group of individuals together from more than 50 congregations to seek solutions to community problems and challenge our political leaders to take action to support the disadvantaged youth of the Columbus area. Parking is free.

Inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech, The Dream celebrates those who stood up and fought for African American, women and LGBTQ rights during the 1960’s civil rights era through a powerful spectacle of song, dance and video. Regular tickets are $25.00 or $20.00, plus fee. The reduced group rate for our community and allies: $10.00 & $1.25 fee.
