Since we aren’t getting together in person, we can gather for a couple of hours on the second Saturday of each month, 7-8pm Eastern Time, via Zoom.

Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) will host a conversation with members of George Floyd’s family that examines his legacy and the racial justice movement that grew from his death.

This free virtual program — “The Legacy of George Floyd” — will take place via livestream from 12noon to 1pm Thursday, May 6. Visit tri-c.edu/georgefloyd to register for the program.

Three years ago [5-10-2018], we gathered at Columbus Mennonite Church to honor the stories of tres madres, three mothers, as they struggled for their own liberation and the dignity of their families. It was a meaningful moment, made more so by the presence of two beloved friends and organizers, Amber Evans and Rubén Castilla Hererra, who were instrumental in that effort, but are no longer with us, having both died in early 2019.
