This presentation, combined with a small group discussion-based exercise, is meant to help students understand the historical roots of medical fallacies and how these untruths have impacted the care that patients receive today. The presenters also hope that this lecture will help trainees to identify and address any conscious and/or subconscious biases that they may have before entering into the clinic.

Do you have questions about legally changing your name and or gender marker in Ohio? Join us for our free legal clinic. You’ll be able to talk to a trained lawyer over the phone or via Zoom about the name and gender marker process.

Virtual Legal Clinic participation requires completed intake paperwork at least 48 hours before the clinic. To participate in this clinic, please complete the intake forms by 5pm on 5/10/2021.

Please join us for a conversation about the role of big money and corporate power in politics. A screening of the 30-minute documentary “Legalize Democracy” will be followed by a panel discussion featuring three residents of Troy, Ohio: Kane Feltner, activist, and member of Troy’s Human Relations Commission; Bill Rozell, a retired state auditor now serving as a Troy councilman; and John Scott, pastor of True Vine Church in Piqua. Sandy Bolzenius of Central Ohio Move to Amend will also be a featured panelist.
