In recognition of LGBTQ+ Health Awareness Week 2022 (March 20-26), we’re excited to partner with Hope For The Day — a national mental health advocacy organization — to offer this free workshop for professionals.

Please note that this free session is open to a wide variety of professionals, including but not limited to the following: social service, healthcare, non-profit, and educational professionals.

Each year, Simply Living holds a meeting of its membership to discuss our plans for the year, to provide information about memberships, and to elect our slate of board members.

This year, our Annual Membership Meeting will take place on Sunday, March 20, 3-5pm, at the Columbus Metropolitan Library Hilltop Branch, 511 S. Hague Ave.

Sunday, March 20, 12noon-2pm, Hey Hey Bar and Grill, 361 E. Whittier St.

This event is one of the Merion Village Association’s favorites and it’s back after a hiatus in 2021! Bring your family and friends . . . and of course your chili!

The cost is $5 per person to participate in the tasting; all proceeds go to a scholarship for a student from South High School. Best chili winners get a prize and bragging rights!

Saturday, March 19, 2-4pm, this on-line event requires advance registration

Whether you’re new to organizing or just need a refresher, this training will cover the basics of impactful organizing and the issue campaign cycle. There will be space for discussion and questions.

This training is open and free to all, but we ask non-Black attendees to consider the space they take up and to donate to BQIC and/or the trainers, if they can.

Saturday, March 19, 12noon-2pm, at the southwest corner of the intersection of Parsons Ave. and E. Gates St.

Kind Meals is a nonprofit local group that provides free vegan meals the third Saturday of every month at the southwest corner of the intersection of Parsons Ave. and E. Gates St. We also provide free gently used clothing and household items to anyone who needs them.

Our gathering goes on for three full days and is filled with Ceremony. Experiences that you participate in and are transformed by. Wisdom and culture will be shared throughout the gathering by Elders of all nations. We are blessed to have internationally-known speakers that inspire great change, allowing you to experience life through new eyes, seen from all perspectives, and brings greater understanding, compassion, and love for all.
