Lynn Hetherington Becker is a self-taught artist originally from Cleveland, Ohio with a focus on painting. Her art is creative and bold. She has a passion for color. She combines elements of reality with whimsy using acrylic paint, body paint, elements of costume and fashion, and henna. Her work has been featured in news and media and can be found in galleries in Columbus, Ohio.

When we’re talking about repealing the death penalty, the voices of victim family members of victim family members must be heard loud and clear.

On April 7 at 7pm, join the #NoDeathPenaltyOH coalition for “Capital Punishment: An interfaith conversation and co-victim perspectives.” This virtual event will include a panel of families of murder victims speaking to an interfaith audience about the harm created by the death penalty.

Statistics about walkability are easy enough to quote. They’re harder to decipher within the greater context or public health, land use, and urban planning. We often blame people for their behavior, especially when it comes to health and fitness — but we have to go deeper. We have to ask questions like “why don’t more Americans walk?” and “why do some neighborhoods have sidewalks and others don’t . . . and what’s the impact?”
