Join us for an anti-racism book club, which hopes to help facilitate the creation of an inclusive and diverse atmosphere on the campus of The Ohio State University. As a book club participant, you will help to co-construct an open space to read and discuss big questions about race and justice in America. The book club will be reading the National Book Award winning “Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America” by Ibram X. Kendi.

Indivisible Delaware County is hosting a question-and-answer, with two retired Generals trained in National and International Security, about the conflict in Eastern Europe and its impact on Democracy now and for the future.

What impact will this have on NATO and Russia/Putin? Join us to ask questions of these experts to help us better understand, not only the war in Eastern Europe and its impact on our world and Democracy now and for the future, but also the role and impact of NATO and Russia/Putin.

Since we aren’t getting together in person, we can gather for a couple of hours on the second Saturday night of each month, 7-8:30pm, on Zoom.

The April Free Press Second Saturday Cyber-Salon will celebrate Earth Day and WGRN [The Green Renaissance] [91.1 FM and wgrn.org].

WGRN 94.1FM Community Radio will celebrate its Earth Day Birthday with Producers and 2022 Volunteer Award Recipient Eugene Beer.

A question-and-answer period will be included.

The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called “Going to HCCO” and we still like to think of it as our flagship event.

Going forward, our meetings will be hybrid. You may meet us in-person or attend online.

AIDS Walk Ohio will take place in downtown Columbus on April 9. Participate in person at Genoa Park or virtually in your own neighborhood.

The Schedule:

On April 9, check-in will begin at 9am, the program will begin at 9:40am, and the run/walk will step off at 10:30am. Find the route map here.

For those participating virtually, you can complete your run/walk, using the app, April 8-17, 2022. You will receive a link to join in the app by April 8.

Lynn Hetherington Becker is a self-taught artist originally from Cleveland, Ohio with a focus on painting. Her art is creative and bold. She has a passion for color. She combines elements of reality with whimsy using acrylic paint, body paint, elements of costume and fashion, and henna. Her work has been featured in news and media and can be found in galleries in Columbus, Ohio.
