The Ride of Silence is back for 2022! This is the 20th year for the Ride of Silence. We have a new start location! We will gather at Genoa Park along Washington Blvd. Restrooms will be available at the park; Washington Blvd. will be closed to traffic 4-8 pm.

Join us to figure out how to do your part in helping us fight anti-voter legislation in the state while also calling for the repeal of the “collaboration ban” to protect election officials. This will be an extensive training on how to write a letter to the editor (LTE) to your local newspaper.

Hosted by ACLU of Ohio.

Did you know that almost 35% of the city’s budget goes to the Columbus Police Department? That’s 354.2 million dollars! Do you ever wonder what else we could do with that money? How else can we divest from policing, prisons, and harmful institutions that perpetuate white supremacy, capitalism, and colonialism? What can we do to meaningfully invest in our communal survival and work to build abolitionist futures?

Saturday, May 14, 12noon-3pm, Columbus Metropolitan Library [Parsons Branch], 1113 Parsons Ave. [this event will also be occurring via Zoom]

The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called “Going to HCCO” and we still like to think of it as our flagship event.

Saturday, May 14, 9am-12noon, Goodale Park, 120 W. Goodale St.

Join us for our annual “Planting Day” at Goodale Park! We are so excited to plant the gorgeous and well-designed flower beds around the park. Following the workday, we will have free pizza from Donatos Pizza. A huge thank you to Donatos for kindly sponsoring this event!

Help keep Columbus, Ohio’s oldest (and best!) city park looking beautiful. Weeding, watering, litter pickup, and more. Our 13+ gardens are 100% volunteer planted and maintained. We can’t do it without you!
