Join Northeast Ohio Voter Advocates [NOVA] and ACLU of Ohio for a discussion on the August election and on State Issue 1; what it does and how it would change Ohioans’ ability to amend our constitution.

Collin Marozzi, Deputy Policy Director for ACLU of Ohio, will be the guest speaker. He will also include an overview of the election calendar for an August 8 election, and what groups should be aware of regarding the recent changes to Ohio’s election laws.

Join our monthly Community Meeting as we create space for connection and community with our volunteers, donors, and supporters!

Each month, we’ll share the latest programmatic and policy updates, while focusing mainly on community building and interactive discussions on a range of topics. And every Community Meeting will end with a prize drawing for attendees!

This training will help you understand the history of religious pro-choice advocacy and the role that modern religious voices play in securing abortion access and defending reproductive freedom in Ohio and across the U.S.

Developed as a “movement introduction” for congregations and faith leaders, participants will learn about the pre-Roe Clergy Consultation Service on Abortion, basic theological perspectives around repro topics, and what options for further engagement exist locally and beyond.

We’re excited to learn about how the court works and why it is important, especially from the judges’ unique perspective as former state legislators.
