International Drag Day (July 16) is almost upon us. The entire LGBTQ+ community is under increased attack across the U.S. but drag events and drag performers have been viciously and specifically targeted by far-right groups and opportunistic political actors. Why? Why now? What about drag is so threatening to those attacking it?

The summer is heating up, and so is our political landscape. On Monday, July 10, join us at 6:30pm for an update on the “Repro” and “One Person One Vote” campaigns and to hear about ways that you can help protect both of these fundamental rights.

We’ll gather with Action Team members from across the state to share our collective wins and get clear about the months ahead of us. This is Our Ohio, and we’re proving it every day.

The Republican Party has turned to scapegoating trans people because they have nothing to offer working people as the economic crisis wreaks havoc on our lives. Meanwhile, the Democrats have failed to put up any real organized resistance. Now’s the time to get organized for an independent, working-class movement for queer liberation! We’ll be in Meeting Room 1 at the library, 1113 Parsons Ave.

The Doo Dah Parade is celebrating 40 Years so prepare to be blown away! The Good Witch of the [Short] North would look kindly on you by either watching or being in the parade. There’s no entry fee, no pre-registration, you just show up!

Celebrate Liberty and Lunacy with traditional weird costumes and customs and funny opinions in the Short North Arts District. In Goodale Park, hang in the shade near the gazebo for the live music after-glow party, 11am-8pm.
