International Drag Day (July 16) is almost upon us. The entire LGBTQ+ community is under increased attack across the U.S. but drag events and drag performers have been viciously and specifically targeted by far-right groups and opportunistic political actors. Why? Why now? What about drag is so threatening to those attacking it?

In this free webinar, Institute Lead Trainer Ramona Peel (she/they) will chat with Equitas Health Prevention Health Navigation Manager Genesis Vaughn, M.A., (she/her, they/them) about these issues and about why drag is so centrally important to LGBTQ+ communities. There will also be an opportunity for a question-and-answer period with audience members.
