Friday, September 8, 6:30-11pm, Creekside Conference and Event Center, 101 Mill St., Unit 300, Gahanna, Ohio

Come out and join us for this joyful event. The evening will be filled with excitement, in efforts to raise awareness and funding for individuals impacted by sickle cell disease. You are in store for a fun-filled and informational night with guest speakers that will inform us on the new advancements of how sickle cell is treated.

Of course, there will be a silent auction, awards, and music provided by the one and only D.J. Tommy. We hope to see you there!

What role can education play in a democracy as polarized as ours? Do we expect too much when we ask education to bear primary responsibility for mending seemingly deep divides? What realistic contributions can and should education make? Join Dr. Michele Moses (Colorado Boulder) and Dr. Rachel Wahl (Virginia) for a timely discussion with OSU’s Winston C. Thompson.

Thursday, September 7, 3-6pm, 935 Mount Vernon Ave. [near the intersection of Mount Vernon Ave. and N. 17th St.]

Join us each week for fresh, affordable, nutritious produce, local artisan creations, activities for youth, live music, and a food truck. This week there will be a Plant Swap and Recipe Swap; bring a plant and get a plant. And check out tasty plant-based recipes.

Vendors include Local Matters, Cynts Scents, Sankofa Love Designs, R02K, Coffico, and many, many others!

This event will repeat each Thursday, 3-6pm, until September 28.

Thursday, September 7, 12noon-1pm, St. Stephen’s Community House, 1500 E. 17th Ave.

The Columbus Community Relations Commission is a hosting conversation about access to housing for Columbus Seniors. Learn from community experts and advocates about the challenges facing seniors and solutions to provide housing for all.

Join us for Green Drinks with Trolley Pub Columbus!

We will be heading out to clean up our community while enjoying the convenience of the Trolley Pub. You will be provided with litter grabbers, gloves, vests, and trash bags [thanks to Keep Columbus Beautiful]. Registration is required as we have a maximum of 30 spots. Once registered, we will send you a waiver and remind you of the beverage guidelines. This event is BYOB!

Since 1966, Upper Arlington Labor Day Arts Festival has celebrated and shared the arts with the community. Each year, more than 15,000 visitors flock to Upper Arlington on Labor Day. Visitors immerse themselves in hands-on art activities, live music as part of the Upper Arlington Performance Series, and the opportunity to explore and purchase fine art and fine craft work. Around 120 artists will be there who work in a variety of media including paintings, photography, jewelry, pottery, sculptures, and mixed media.
