Bronzeville Agricademy is a free, creative format of on-line classroom instruction, production tours, and mentoring to promote a plant-based diet. It will meet weekly online from October 5 to December 14, 6:30-8pm, via Zoom.

Who should attend: Anyone who wants to learn more about growing their own food or contributing to a community garden.

Is it only for adults? No, it is recommended for middle school, high school, and college students as well.

The Columbus Community Relations Commission (CRC) presents “Advocacy in Action: Centering Equity and Disability.” This no-cost half-day forum provides insightful discussions and workshops for social workers, advocates, and residents regarding how to identify disability discrimination and how to address it. Registration is limited to 50 individuals. A light breakfast, lunch, and parking is provided.

We will discuss the “Citizens Not Politicians Amendment” and ways to get involved in the effort to take map making out of the hands of elected officials and place it in the hands of an independent citizens redistricting commission.

Third Act Ohio had its official launch one year ago this month [during December 2022]!

Over this time, we have:

• Held several actions at Chase banks in Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, and Athens.

• Participated in events and actions in Washington DC, NYC, and at the Mountain Valley pipeline.

• Been involved in the fight against fracking in Ohio State parks.

• Been involved in fighting Issue 1 (in August) and working for Issue 1 (in November)
