Speaking of Democracy: Replacing Gerrymandering in Ohio, hosted by Move to Amend Central Ohio

Thursday, February 25, 7-8pm, this on-line event requires advance registration

Ten years ago, a small group of Ohioans created district maps to ensure that representatives could choose their constituents rather than the people choosing their representatives. That is about to change!

On February 25, Common Cause’s Catherine Turcer will discuss the recent history of gerrymandering in Ohio, its consequences, the subsequent citizen uproar, and the current reform plan that Ohioans overwhelmingly passed in 2018.

This session will also detail the new rules to create fair districts, relevant dates that Ohioans need to know, and how individuals may take a direct role in designing Ohio’s new district map.
