Somali Festival, hosted by Buug Iyo Qalin Foundation

Saturday, July 2, 2-8pm, Innis Park, 3000 Innis Rd.

Columbus, mark your calendar for the biggest Somali festival. We would like to invite all of our communities at large. It is free. We will have kid’s entertainment, a petting zoo, cultural dance, food, and music.

The Somali festival is one of the largest events hosted by the Buug Iyo Qalin Foundation; it is the Columbus Somali community’s largest celebration of the year. Last year’s event attracted 4,000-5,000 attendees from three different states. It consists of the Somali/American Independence Day Festival, a celebration of the 13 freedom fighters, cultural dance and live music, kid’s entertainment, and of course food.

The theme of Somali Week 2022 is “Promoting Diversity through Unity and Inclusion.”

We are looking for local businesses and organizations like yours to help us make this event truly special for our community.

For more information, contact 614-429-9239.

Hosted by Engr Mohamed Farah.
