Join us on Tuesday, April 20 to debrief what the redistricting process looks like, our opportunities for engagement, and how we are going to ensure fair districts this year. Why? Because attacks on abortion access and gerrymandering go hand in hand.

We’ve seen 24 attacks on reproductive health since 2011. That’s because, in the last redistricting process, we got heavily gerrymandered districts. The simple truth is that Ohio’s legislature simply does not reflect its voters, nor does it represent the people’s interests. Ohioans overwhelmingly support abortion access, but you don’t see that reflected by our legislature.

Rather than living in a state where voters choose their representatives, Ohio’s representatives choose their voters, which is decidedly not how democracy is supposed to work and a real sign that our political system in Ohio is broken.
