This rally in Columbus will join nationwide protests against Trump’s “Climate Denial Cabinet” and will call on U.S. Senator Rob Portman to vote against Trump’s “fossil fuel industry” appointees; in addition, this rally will recognize and address other justice and economic issues in Ohio.

Join the call to action asking that organizations, groups, families, or friends take public action on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2017, to send a clear message that we are not in alignment with the new President.

It will take all of us, using all of our skills, abilities, connections, knowledge and insight, to build a city that keeps each other safe, stands for justice for all, and fights back against hate and oppression. We are calling for a full day of rolling actions and events.

Donald Trump will be meeting privately with victims of last Monday’s campus attack this Thursday at the Schottenstein Center. Let’s gather to protest his presence and show that Donald Trump is not welcome in our state let alone so close to campus.

We reject the exploitation of a tragic event on our campus and the disrespect of our fellow students’ pain for Trump’s racist political purposes.

Columbus United March for Justice

Tuesday, November 29, 5:30-8pm, Goodale Park, 120 W. Goodale St.; and Ohio Statehouse

We will first convene at 5:30pm at the gazebo in Goodale Park’s northeast corner, near the intersection of Buttles Ave. and Park St., near the pond with the elephants. There will be a speaker and a gathering of people.

Parking options are being compiled and will be shared on social media prior to the event. There will be minimal opening remarks before marching to High St.; a rally will be held at the Statehouse with a brief list of speakers and a presentation of declarations and demands.

Central Ohio Protest of Dakota Access Pipeline at Army Corp of Engineers in Lewis Center, Ohio

Tuesday, November 15, 3-5pm, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 5905 Lewis Center Rd., Lewis Center, Ohio

Join us Tuesday [November 15] in front of the Lewis Center office of the Army Corps of Engineers. We will demand that the U.S. government and the Army Corps of Engineers reject the Dakota Access Pipeline.

We will have a few signs, but, if you can, make a sign to bring and brandish.

We will stand with our signs until close to dark.
