Israel’s aggression has expanded across the region — from Lebanon and Yemen to Qatar — culminating in an unprovoked 12-day war with Iran that killed thousands of Iranian civilians in violation of international law. Now more than ever, we must hold the U.S. government accountable for giving Israel a “blank check” without oversight or conditions. Israel’s actions against Iran, and its apparent willingness to escalate further by threatening additional attacks, risk prolonging instability and conflict throughout the Middle East.
