The keynote address, “Will You Be My Neighbor? Building Bridges Across Communities,” will be presented by inspirational speaker, children’s advocate, former foster youth, and professional international model MelRo [Melissa Roshan].

Activists, academics, community members, and health and social service professionals are encouraged to attend this two-day conference that addresses health disparities that affect the LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS community.

We will be discussing Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption, August 18, 2015, by Bryan Stevenson (366 pages). The Upper Arlington Public Library [including the consortium with which the Upper Arlington Public Library shares books] owns 98 copies of this book.

The Ohio Center for Sex Education and Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio will host the inaugural Ohio Sex Education Summit on Wednesday, October 17 at The Fawcett Center at The Ohio State University. Experts from across Ohio and across the country will come together, learn from each other, and explore ways to ensure that every young person in Ohio receives the fact-based, comprehensive sex education that they need to keep themselves healthy.
