Join the Alexander Hamilton Society on Wednesday, October 14 at 6pm for a debate on the foreign policies of Presidential candidates Donald Trump and Joe Biden. The debate will feature Thomas Wright of the Brookings Institute and Randall Schweller of the Mershon Center for International Security Studies, with Mershon Senior Faculty Fellow Peter Mansoor as moderator.

Racism and police violence with no justice for people like Breonna Taylor; 200,000 COVID-19 deaths and still no stimulus check; wildfires ravaging the west coast. This system is killing us.

Working people, especially black people, are facing evictions, unemployment, climate change, a health crisis, and racist violence from the police and right-wing. We need the Climate Strike and Labor movements to step up and support Black Lives Matter and the struggle against the capitalist system as a whole.

The climate crisis is an existential (i.e. existence-threatening) crisis to humans and other living entities. While current attention has understandably been on the pandemic and related economic crises — the impact of human activities that have been implemented through corporations are directly connected to the increasingly-raging fires, hurricanes, and other effects of climate change that will only intensify unless we rapidly change direction.
