Latest Bout of Political Arrests; Gov’t Offers Blood Money

Black Mauritanians have been arrested, tortured, and even killed for demanding full and equal treatment on land their families have called home for centuries. On December 9, at 1pm ET, ahead of International Human Rights Day, civil rights leaders and genocide survivors will provide an update on the state of Black Mauritanians’ civil rights.

In response to the disastrous situation in Sudan since the start of the civil war in April 2023, World BEYOND War, through its Senegal chapter, launched the #HandsOffSudan campaign to call for a return to peace. The next Quarterly Third Act All-In Call will be on Wednesday, December 10th at 7:00 pm

This from Third Act Central:  We are thrilled to have Heather Cox Richardson* as our special guest, who will be joined in conversation with Third Act co-founder, Bill McKibben, and Third Act Lead Advisor, Akaya Windwood.  We’ll share campaign updates, hear from our local elder activists, and gain insight into what is coming up next!

For the first time ever, legislation is moving through both the Ohio House and Senate (HB 439 & SB 329) to prohibit spreading toxic, radioactive oil & gas waste on our roads as deicers and dust suppressants.  Join us on Monday, December 8th from Noon to 1:00 pm for a virtual phone bank

We’ll be calling members of the Senate Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee and the House Natural Resources committee in support of these bills.  Let’s make history and protect our roads and water.

Join SJP OSU, FSJP, and NOAP (No Ohio Anduril Plant) to explore the manifestations of the Academic-Military-Industrial Complex on our campus and across the state. The brutal genocide in Gaza has unmasked the proliferation of the so-called “golden triangle” of military agencies, the technology industry, and research universities—entities that not only profit from genocide and war but are also actively complicit.

Sunday, 12/7/2025, 3:30-5pm, join us at Whetstone Library, 3909 N High St, Columbus, to write postcards to Central Ohio Home Depot store managers and to Home Depot corporate leaders demanding an end to their complicity with ICE.

Let's come together to celebrate everything we've accomplished in 2025 and look toward success in 2026!

Whether you've been with us a long time or just learning more about our chapter, come join us on Monday, December 15th (6:30pm) at Nocterra Brewing in the Audubon (516 Maier Pl, Columbus, OH 43215) for a fun filled night of connection with chapter members.

Your first drink is on Chapter Co-Leader Donny Murray
