Columbus Residents are working to ensure safe drinking water, clean air, and safe soil in the City of Columbus.

The Columbus Community Bill of Rights is an Amendment to the Charter of the City of Columbus. This rights-based amendment will give Columbus residents local control over the extraction of hydrocarbons and protect their unalienable rights for pure water, clean air, and safe soil, free from “toxins, carcinogens, radioactive substances, and other substances known to cause harm to health.”

Every year at the SSA Annual Conference, hundreds of secular students and community leaders gather to share ideas and learn from each other. SSA Con’s primary goal is to train student leaders and activists from across the United States in grassroots organizing and leadership skills.

Our conference is designed to be applicable to both SSA affiliate group leaders and members as well as to individual secular student activists. Additionally, we welcome anyone who wants to learn about effective group running, such as those from off-campus groups or other organizations.

In conjunction with “Peace Labyrinth: Quilting the Golden Rule,” a June 22 - July 11 exhibition at the Martin de Porres Center.

Presented by Interfaith Association of Central Ohio in collaboration with the Dayton International Peace Museum; this event is a pre-Parliament event for the 2015 Parliament of the World’s Religions.

Our mission is to empower marginalized communities by expanding their capacity to convert their social power into significant economic driving forces that propel social justice movements towards victory. We advocate for alternative economic models that pose serious challenges to the existing capitalist system.

Our focus for these meetings will be to draft an alternative economic vision, community-building strategy and implementation plan for central Ohio.

The Accessible Transportation Advisory Committee (ATAC) advises the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) on matters pertaining to accessible transportation. Members include customers and people in the community who advocate for those with disabilities. ATAC meets monthly and twice a year with COTA leadership.
