Once each month at the Driving Park Branch Library, central Ohio residents, city and state leaders, non-profit organizations, community professionals, activists, Columbus City Schools professionals, law enforcement, faith-based communities, and leading thinkers come together to discuss central Ohio’s current issues and solutions. This event is coordinated by the emerging non-profit, State Of The Community.

We will be discussing the following:

We advocate for alternative economic models that pose serious challenges to the capitalist system. Please join us this month as we explore how FLOK Society, Open Cooperatives and Fab Labs can empower marginalized communities in central Ohio. These meetings are free and open to the public.

The “Know NATO” workshop will explore the historic and actual impacts of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization [NATO].

Before the upcoming NATO summit that is scheduled to take place July 8-9 in Warsaw, Poland, the “Know NATO” workshop will enable peace researchers, educators, and activists to gain and share knowledge of that summit, which will be taking place during heightened global instability and conflict.

Upper Arlington Progressive Action [UAPA] is collaborating with the Franklin County Young Democrats (FCYD) to present a panel on transportation in Central Ohio, how transportation options affect you, and our opportunities for the future. The panelists will speak for about an hour and then will respond to your questions. Join us and find out how Ohio moves today and tomorrow.
