Bill Shkurti is a retired employee of Ohio State University and an alumnus. He received both his undergrad (’68) and his Masters (’74) from OSU. Shkurti served the University for 10 years as a Vice President for Finance and then another 10 as Senior Vice President of Business and Finance. He has also written Soldiering on in a Dying War: The True Story of the Firebase Pace Incidents and the Vietnam Drawdown.

Ohio State University administrators, led by Chief Financial Officer Geoff Chatas, plan to sell off our energy to a private corporation for monopoly control through the Comprehensive Energy Management Plan. This deal has been happening behind closed doors and it will only profit corporate CEOs and OSU administrators.

We, as students, do not stand for our public university being bought and sold. Resist the corporate takeover of our education!

The Equitas Health Institute for LGBTQ Health Equity and the Ohio AIDS Coalition are excited to present the inaugural event, “Transforming Care: Midwest Conference on LGBTQ Health Equity and HIV/AIDS,” which will bring together over 450 activists, academics, community members, health and social service professionals, and others who are interested in reducing health disparities in the LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS community.
