“Institute Insights: Housing Insecurity and the LGBTQ+ Community,” hosted by Equitas Health Institute and Equitas Health

Tuesday, November 14, 12noon-1pm, this on-line event requires advance registration

November 11-18 is Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. LGBTQ+ folks are particularly vulnerable to food and housing insecurity and are routinely denied access to resources and even shelter or food aid based on who they are and/or who they love.

In this free webinar, Institute Lead Trainer Ramona Peel (She/They) will chat with Equitas Health Director of Housing Programs Kelsey Strausbaugh, LISW (She/They) and with Equitas Health Housing Advocates Adriane Hall (She/Her/Hers) and with Morgan Couture (They/Them/Theirs) about these stark inequalities, why they persist, and what organizations are doing (and can do) to help end LGBTQ+ homelessness and food insecurity. There will also be an opportunity for a question-and-answer period with audience members.
