Humanist Community of Central Ohio [HCCO] Winter Solstice Celebration: “Don’t Throw the Baby Out With the Baptism Water — What Humanists Could Possibly Learn from the Church”

Saturday, December 12, 11am-3:30pm, Whetstone Park of Roses Shelter House, 3901 N. High St.

Join Humanist Community of Central Ohio for our annual Winter Solstice Celebration on Saturday, December 12, 11am-3pm, at the Whetstone Park of Roses Shelter House.

Edwin Moise is a former evangelical church planter who planted several churches and campuses in the United States, and one internationally, before de-converting in 2012.

A sought-after speaker in the former evangelical world, Edwin has transitioned through a difficult journey out of religion and into the secular world including the challenges of a finding a new career path, losing many friends and family, and the myriad of other difficulties that come from leaving the church behind.

Edwin, along with his wife and family, host a robust “Recovering From Religion” “Life After Belief” group and are also active members of The Clergy Project, a community of 700+ former clergy who have de-converted and are processing through the carnage that can follow.

The dinner will be catered by Chipotle, which offers a wide range of dietary options for those with various restrictions and aversions; for dessert, we will be hosting an optional potluck.
