Healthy places: Designing cities for walking and biking

Friday, November 18, 11:45am-1pm, Thompson Library [Rm. 165], 1858 Neil Ave.

A panel discussion on how Columbus and other cities are working to improve livability and to encourage active transportation.

Lunch and beverages will be provided. Arrive at 11:45am to grab your food and find a seat; the panel discussion will begin at 12noon sharp and will end promptly at 1pm.

Panel members include:

• Gulsah Akar, PhD, Associate Professor, City and Regional Planning, The Ohio State University

• Kerstin Carr, Director of Planning and Environment, Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC)

• Catherine Girves, Executive Director, YayBikes!

• Scott Ulrich, AICP, CNU-A, LCI, Healthy Places and Bicycle Coordinator, City of Columbus

The panel discussion will be moderated by Harvey Miller, PhD, Director, Center for Urban and Regional Analysis.
