Free Press 2023 Awards and David Swanson Event

Thursday, November 9, 5-8pm, The Vanderelli Room, 218 McDowell St.

This event will honor the following local community activists.

• 2023 Free Press “Libby” Award for lifetime achievement in Community Activism: Cynthia Brown of the Ohio Coalition to End Qualified Immunity

• 2023 Free Press Activist Artist Award: Alicia Jean Vanderelli of The Vanderelli Room

This event will feature peace activist David Swanson speaking on “War Abolition and the Ukraine Problem.”

Schedule

5-5:30pm: Doors open; music

5:30-6:30pm: Dinner and drinks

6:30pm: Awards ceremony followed by presentation by David Swanson

The dinner will include food from the Americas; there will be vegan and gluten-free options.
