Friday, January 15, 12noon-1:30pm, this on-line event requires advance registration

Trey Billing, a postdoctoral fellow with the Mershon Center’s Recovering from Violence Research cluster, will describe a collaboration between the Mershon Center’s Conflict to Peace Lab and researchers at Universidad EAFIT in Medellín, Colombia. This project focuses on the reintegration of demobilized members of the FARC [Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC-EP), a Marxist-Leninist revolutionary guerrilla organization] in Antioquia, Colombia. He will open a discussion around a research design which seeks to evaluate the effects of an economic reintegration program on prosocial outcomes among former FARC members, as well as members of surrounding communities.
