Early Valentine: Bill Cohen Sings Love Songs of the 20th Century

Friday, February 2, 7-9pm, Columbus Mennonite Church, 35 Oakland Park Ave.

With guitar, piano, and some great back-up musicians, Bill Cohen will sing love songs made famous by John Denver, the Everly Brothers, Sam Cooke, Bette Midler, James Taylor, Kris Kristofferson, the Eagles, Bing Crosby, Patti Page, Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis, and others.

While the songs will reflect the ecstasy, warmth, heartache, and pain that love can bring, there will be a lighter side too, as Bill will challenge the audience with trivia questions about famous and infamous couples and love songs throughout the decades.

A $10 donation per person will be being requested at the door; proceeds will be going to help produce the upcoming Central Ohio Folk Festival. Home-baked refreshments will be available at no extra charge.
