Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence” Speech: A Reading

Monday, April 3, 4pm, Cleveland City Hall [Rotunda] 601 Lakeside Ave., Cleveland, Ohio

One year before Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination, Dr. King spoke powerfully against the U.S. war in Vietnam, decrying militarism, materialism, and racism embedded in U.S. culture, policy, and economy. These problems have reached a crisis level in our nation today.

Join us for the third annual reading of Dr. King’s “Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence” speech.

Hosted by Peace Action Cleveland, End Poverty NOW Cleveland, SPAN [Single Payer Action Network] Ohio, IRTF: The InterReligious Task Force on Central America, Cuyahoga County Progressive Caucus, and Ohio Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival.
