The incoming administration may resume explosive nuclear weapons testing in Nevada. These tests are unnecessary, risk accelerating a nuclear arms race, and are contaminating the environment. The United States stopped such testing in 1992 — resuming would provide additional fuel for the budding nuclear arms race and encourage other countries to follow suit.
