One of Stratford’s biggest events of the year, a celebration of Stratford and of down-home family fun! Family-centered in every way, the farm is transformed into a playground. With a variety of entertainment, a “kid's world” with kites, stilts, face painting, and a hay bale toddler area with farm toys. Kids of all ages can discover their inner farmer by climbing on a tractor, making apple cider, riding on a horse drawn wagon, grinding grain, and so much more!

Sunday, October 11, 1pm, beginning on Dennison Ave. near Goodale Park

It’s not just a parade. It’s a parade with a High School Marching Band Competition!

Seven, count them, seven area High Schools Marching Bands will compete for top honors and a giant trophy and a check! The bands will perform in marching form with a “stopped performance” on High St. between Buttles Ave. and Warren Ave. Then, they’ll march on towards their final big performance under the main tent at the Columbus Italian Festival.

Abolitionists from Ohio and beyond have invited Columbus area residents for a conversation about their walk from the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility [in Lucasville, Ohio], where death row inmates are executed, to the Ohio Statehouse.

This seven-day, 83-mile walk will enable walkers to engage local communities in conversations about ending capital punishment.

Sunday, September 27, “High Noon ’til 10pm,” Browning Amphitheater and South Oval [The Ohio State University] [the closest address to this event is 1760 Neil Ave.]

Purpose: To educate the public on the myriad of potential benefits offered by the Cannabis plant, including the medicinal, industrial, agricultural, economic, environmental, and other benefits and applications. In particular, Ohio Hempfest seeks to advance the cause of Cannabis policy reform through education while advancing the public image of the Cannabis advocate or enthusiast through example.
