Suzanne Roberts and James White will engage in a thoughtful and candid conversation about race relations in our communities and America. This talk is inspired by the current political climate in the U.S. and will address current dialogues being held all around the country.

Join us for an interactive, fireside chat. Bring your questions, observations and curiosity so that we can all grow from this intimate conversation.

Join veteran members of Stratford’s Herb Group for a spring walk in our gardens and woods to identify and learn how to incorporate culinary wild plants in your own meals. Then stay for lunch and sample dishes made from edibles obtainable this time of year. Handouts and recipes will be available to reinforce your learning experience.

Join Green Columbus and a group of wonderful sponsors in celebrating Earth Day 2016, which we’re calling “Right Now” this year, at a celebration at Columbus Commons on Saturday, April 23, 2016.

The celebration, which will run from 1pm to 10pm, will feature your favorite local bands, food trucks, kids’ activities, environmental groups and businesses, and much more. Bring your friends and family for a full day of fun in the heart of downtown Columbus.

Naturalist Bob Harter will explain the proper seed germination and cultivation techniques of native plants. Also learn the importance of native plants to our environment, including where and how they grow. Each participant will receive a six-pack cell, soil and seeds to plant on site with Bob’s guidance, plus a small packet of seeds to take home and plant. Information sheets explaining different types of seed treatment will be available.

Cost: $20/person.
