The Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is held in November each year to memorialize those who were killed due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice. Although not every person represented during the Day of Remembrance had self-identified as transgender, each was a victim of violence based on bias or prejudice against transgender people.

• Ethnic foods and cooking demonstrations

• Free festival “Passport” and global activities for kids

• Parade of Nations, Saturday and Sunday at 3pm

Features drinks, food and dance on the second Friday of each month.

5:30-6:30pm: Happy Hour and Facility Tour

Thursday, November 10, 6-8:30pm, First Unitarian Universalist Church, 93 W. Weisheimer Rd.

Come join fellow atheists, agnostics, skeptics, humanists, freethinkers, and Unitarian Universalists for the Fifth Annual Flying Spaghetti Monster Benefit Dinner to help raise money and food for the Mid-Ohio Foodbank.

There is going to be music, a bake sale, kid’s games, raffles, and a silent auction. The food will be great (vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free friendly) as will be the conversations.

Join us in celebrating 25 years of bringing Sustainability to Columbus! Our Annual “Gift to be Simple” event will be extraordinary this year: an evening with world-renowned “Diet for a Small Planet” author Frances Moore Lappé at the Vue Columbus.

We’ll start early with a social hour featuring vegetarian hors d’oeuvres from local chefs. We’ll be serving local beer and wine as well.
