Join the OSU Coalition for the International Women’s Strike for a day-long teach-in to honor International Women’s Day on March 8! We stand with the Platform of the International Women’s Strike, which is available in full here, and dedicate ourselves to fighting these same injustices on our own campus.

On behalf of the Center for Somali Women’s Advancement, we are honored to invite you to the International Women’s Day 2017 celebration at the Ohio Statehouse. This event will bring together diverse women leaders, including elected officials and members of the large New American community in Central Ohio. The ceremony will be held at the Ohio Statehouse Atrium, located at 1 Capitol Square, Columbus, Ohio 43215.

Friday, March 17, 6:45pm, Stratford Ecological Center, 3083 Liberty Rd., Delaware, Ohio

Put on your mud boots and grab your flashlight! It’s time for the spring awakening in the wetlands. Bring the whole family for a night hike to the vernal pool, listen for mating calls and look for salamanders, frogs and egg masses. You will be participating in a state-wide preservation effort of one of Ohio’s disappearing ecosystem.

Cost: $5 per family or $3 per person.
