The North Market Development Authority and The Festival for Good have partnered this year to bring The North Market Festival for Good to life. This outdoor festival will take place at the historic North Market and will feature over 25 local social enterprises, entertainment, beverages from Ohio breweries, distilleries, and wineries, and food from North Market merchants. Proceeds from this event will benefit the North Market Development Authority and The Festival for Good.

Edith Espinal is a mother of three and a long-time front-runner fighter for immigrant rights. She has made Columbus, Ohio her home for over 20 years, living in the U.S. with her son for nine years before being placed in removal proceedings and taking voluntary departure in 2009.

It has been one year since Columbus Police officer Bryan Mason shot and killed 13-year-old Tyre King after mistaking him for a 19-year-old who allegedly had stolen $10. Bryan Mason is still on duty with the Columbus Police Department. Come out to join community, friends, and family as we send our Blessings Up to Tyre.

Saturday, September 23, 10am-4pm, Stratford Ecological Center, 3083 Liberty Rd., Delaware, Ohio

Help us celebrate the harvest at one of Stratford’s biggest events of the year! Kids of all ages can discover their inner farmer at this family-friendly event. Climb a tractor, paint your face, feed the chickens, ride a horse-drawn wagon, and hike the trails. It is a great opportunity to get the kids outside to have fun with the Stratford family!

No registration required; cost: $5 per person; $15 family.

Saturday, September 30, 10am-1pm, beginning in Simply Living’s office [located inside of Maynard Ave. United Methodist Church], 2350 Indianola Ave.

Become a sustainable traveler around town! Join Mariellen Miller in the Simply Living office to learn about COTA schedules, routes and figuring it all out. Bring your Smart Phone if you have one! Mariellen will lead us on a bus trip around the city learning how to navigate the COTA system.

We plan to distribute hot meals to about 700 individuals on the Day of Arafat, August 31, 2017. Please take some time on these blessed days to help us feed these needy families.

The food will be prepared, at MY Deah’s Store, 3036 Sullivant Ave., beginning at 4pm.

We will load the packed food into cars at 6pm and will take it to the Wedgewood Village Apartments 777 Wedgewood Dr., and to other neighborhoods.
