MakerX is a public festival of digital design and creation with over 60 exhibits and activities for all ages. This event will feature drones, robots, 3D printing, virtual reality and game development, electronic music, and more.

Ready for 100 will be launching our public campaign promoting 100% renewable energy for the city of Columbus with an aerial art project as part of the annual Earth Day event at Genoa Park. Our team, along with volunteers from the community, will be forming a giant “100%” along the Scioto Mile greenway, which will be captured by a professional photographer and will be used as an iconic part of Ready for 100’s campaign.

The National Day of Reason is held on the first Thursday in May each year as a counter to the National Day of Prayer. Columbus Coalition of Reason [CoR] groups will be celebrating with a potluck on Saturday, May 5, from 1pm to 4pm, at the Actual Brewing Company, 655 N. James Rd.

A free, one-day, community festival providing visitors with a sampling of ways to “go green,” including opportunities to buy re-purposed or recycled items, learning to appreciate native plants and animals, and educating folks on how to use less energy, produce less waste, or adopt sustainable practices.

From the simplest green steps to the latest in renewable energy and green technology, there’s something for everyone to learn and do.

Join us for an engaging and fun introduction to Compassionate-Nonviolent Communication (NVC), the Language of the Heart, led by Susanna Warren.

People of all experience levels, ranging from beginners to experienced practitioners, are welcome to this gathering. We will have a short explanation, a demonstration, and then we will give everyone a chance to practice giving and/or receiving empathy.

This event will begin at 4pm at Genoa Park, 303 W. Broad St.; we will then march to the Ohio Supreme Court Building [near the large metal gavel], 65 S. Front St.

The Interfaith March for Peace and Justice is a nonpartisan event meant to affirm the freedom of religion and to condemn all acts of discrimination directed towards people because of their religion, race, or place of origin.
