Thursday, August 2, 7-8:30pm, Compassionate Communication Center of Ohio [inside of Maynard Ave. United Methodist Church], 2350 Indianola Ave.

Join us for an engaging and fun introduction to Compassionate-Nonviolent Communication (NVC), the Language of the Heart, led by Susanna Warren.

People of all experience levels, ranging from beginners to experienced practitioners, are welcome to this gathering. We will have a short explanation, a demonstration, and then we will give everyone a chance to practice giving and/or receiving empathy.

Monday, July 30, 7pm, Columbus State Community College Center for Workforce Development [Ballroom], 315 Cleveland Ave.

Central Ohio residents will gather to commemorate the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This concert will feature original works performed by Columbus State Community College Music Professor Rocco Di Pietro and his students.

The program will include new compositions by Di Pietro and Ramsey Sadaka [a visiting composer from Vancouver, Canada] as well as works by Alan Hovhanhess and Halim El-Dabh.
