Community

Saturday, October 27, 5-7pm, MCL Kingsdale, 3154 Kingsdale Center, Upper Arlington, Ohio

Don’t believe in God? You are not alone! Join the Humanist Community of Central Ohio [HCCO], a community that values people, emphasizes reason, and focuses on this world.

Come out and join us for dinner and conversation! We’ll be in the back room unless there’s a special event going on in that room.

Sunday, October 14, 5-8pm, TRISM, 1636 N. High St.

Gift to Be Simple is Simply Living’s premier annual fundraiser, but it is more than that. It is an opportunity to learn, to share, and to enjoy healthy, quality food together. The chefs of TRISM, an A&R Creative Group enterprise well known for The Crest Gastropubs, will prepare a variety of appetizers; desserts will be provided by Cornucopia and there will be a cash bar. Anna and The Consequences will entertain us again with their jazz, pop, and blues music.

Sunday, October 14, 12noon-9pm, Coffman Park, 5200 Emerald Pkwy., Dublin, Ohio

The Dublin Arts Council will present the third multicultural B.R.E.A.D! Festival of arts and community at Coffman Park, 5200 Emerald Pkwy., in Dublin, Ohio, on Sunday, October 14, 12noon-9pm. Activities will include community booths, traditional music and dance, hands-on artmaking, international cuisine, bread vendors, food trucks, a fair-trade global marketplace, and more.

Saturday, October 13, 7-8:30pm, Columbus Mennonite Church, 35 Oakland Park Ave.

The Dances of Universal Peace are simple, meditative, and joyous circle dances that celebrate the variety of spiritual paths on Earth. If you like folk dancing, you’ll be right at home here. No previous experience is needed — just an open and willing attitude. Participation, not presentation, is the focus.
